Lamborghini Ushers in a New Hybrid Era at Jewel Changi

Jewel Changi Airport has never needed much help drawing a crowd, but on 24 September 2024,
it shared the spotlight willingly with Lamborghini’s first plug-in hybrid Super SUV. With over 200 customers and guests, the occasion marked a turning point for a brand long synonymous with uncompromising combustion performance, and the venue, with its dramatic indoor waterfall and soaring glass canopy, made a fitting stage for it. Visionnaire was appointed to conceptualise and produce the event in its entirety, from spatial concept and guest experience through to the reveal itself.
The Urus has anchored Lamborghini’s commercial success since it first landed in 2017. The SE builds on that sacred foundation with a powertrain that redefines what the nameplate is capable of. A twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8, producing 620CV and 800Nm of torque, is paired with a permanent-magnet electric motor adding a further 192CV and 483Nm, drawing from a 25.9kWh lithium-ion battery positioned beneath the load floor. Combined output stands at 800CV, making the SE the most powerful Urus to date. It accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds, reaches a top speed of 312km/h, and is capable of travelling over 60km on electric power alone—a reduction in emissions of 80 per cent over its predecessor. Eleven selectable driving modes, including EV Drive, Hybrid, Performance, and Recharge, give the driver a breadth of configurations that the original Urus could not have contemplated.
The design has been reworked with equal conviction. A new bonnet does away with the traditional cut-off line, drawing visual cues from the Revuelto flagship, while matrix LED headlights carry a light signature inspired by Lamborghini’s bull emblem. Inside, the cabin centres on a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a tactile mechanical pushbutton panel, redesigned around the marque’s "feel like a pilot" philosophy.
Visionnaire positioned the SE on a raised platform at the heart of Cloud9 Piazza. Dynamic lighting framed the car from behind, with a “Dare to Live More” LED backdrop anchoring the space, while Jewel’s glass canopy closed the scene above.
Francesco Scardaoni, Region Director of Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific, noted that the Urus SE harmoniously combines absolute comfort with performance and driving pleasure, both qualities the original Urus established and the SE now advances through its hybrid architecture. The show car arrived from Taiwan and was bound for Australia following the Singapore stop, making the Cloud9 Piazza presentation a rare and time-limited opportunity for regional customers to experience the vehicle at close quarters.
With a track record across some of the region’s most significant automotive launches, Visionnaire managed the full scope of the evening. This brief encompasses venue transformation and staging to guest flow, technical production, and the sequencing of the reveal. Cloud9 Piazza presented its own spatial logic—an open, multi-level environment within one of the world’s most visited airport terminals—and the production was designed to work with its scale. The reveal was choreographed to build anticipation before the SE was presented to the room, with lighting and audio calibrated to complement the drama of the car itself without overpowering it.
For a marque that trades in spectacle as a matter of course, the evening had to hold its own. And it did.
